Final Blog

Wow! This semester flew by. I had so much fun doing Globaloria it was a great experience, but it was hard at times. One of my biggest accomplishment was adding action. My biggest struggle was getting the buttons to work. The best thing that i liked about this class was how great Sarah and I presented are presentation. The least thing that I liked about this class was how much time we had to put into the game. Next year my advice for the kids that take it is to realize the big struggles that they are taking this to go into this class. The most that I liked about my presentation was the cleanness of it.

Finished

What a long semester it has been for me. The year is almost up and summer is going to be hear at last! Finishing this game has been a challenge for me, but i made it through. I had a lot of fun working on it and having a great time with Sarah "Moose". That's a inside joke lol! We finished everything today. I was so happy getting it over with, but one hard thing is going to present the demo, because I'm not the best at presenting things. I get a little nervous and I don't like the attention towards me and every ones eyes glaring at you. It bothers me. Today we put the demo on are team page and it looks awesome! I hope everyone likes are game demo and will like to see the concept of it. This might be my last blog for this globaloria, so sianara! I won't miss yea!

Practice Presentation

We are working on are biggest struggle. I just figured out how to do the action script and after I finish that and get it to work then I'm going to upload it to my wiki team page. Then I will be done with everything I think. Sarah and I are working hard and equally to finish this game up. I work in flash and she uploads things to are wiki and keeps that page up to date. I think it is very good, and the action script doesn't seem that hard until it won't work, and if that happens I'm going to be very mad and frustrated. You don't know how happy I am to be almost done with the game, the class, and the school year! Next week I just want to finish the whole game, and be done. I'm so confident in are game right now I can't explain it. We are making great progress and I love the concept of the game, and everything.

Presentation

Yes, I did overcome a few of my struggles, but I'm still confused on somethings. Sarah and I are trying to fix are game demo with all the action script, because that is the hardest thing right now and I really need to work on that right away. Somethings are harder then others, because I understand it better. I might not have met all my goals this week, but I will finish this game demo and I will make it a nice on at that. So, Sarah and I are going to be working very hard. We both are contributing the work, and we always have something to do know matter what happens. We have a lot to do the next weeks!

Biggest Struggle

For a while we have been assembling are game, and it has been a pain. We need to do a lot the rest of this week with the action script. We almost finish the skeleton, because my teacher told me I need to put my intro scene first, and I forgot about that so I need to finish that. The rest of the week will be to improve the game. So we are going to fix everything then work on are buttons and action script. Team Page!

What I Accomplished

This week are progress has been great. I accomplished a lot, but I didn't finish somethings. I am almost there. I finished all but one scene and I will finished it next week. I am also going to start making buttons next week and maybe get to my action script. Next week seems a little hard, but I know we can do it or atleast I know I can. We have one scene where I am confussed about, because its when you get an answer right I don't know whether to put it after every question or not. Then I only want one to come up not both, because if you get it right the slide that says correct go on will come up. But if you get it wrong the slide will say sorry wrong try again. I'm confussed about that I hope my teacher will know how to help. Sarah and I are getting along great we always have, but when I get made I kind of yell at her. I'm trying not to though. Assembling Our Game

The last to days my partner and I have been assembling are game. Sarah and I have accomplished a lot. We just need to finish the slides then the actions, sound, and i think we are done. Personally I have accomplished how to draw in flash, to put actions and flash, and a lot of other things. As time goes on working in flash will come easier to me. Drawing in flash is one of the easiest things, but working with the action script is hard and frustrating. Are team does not have many people at all its just Sarah and me, and we split everything equally. Sometimes I do things that she doesn't know how to do, and she does things that I don't know how to do. Usually one of us are always busy. For the rest of the week we are going to try to finish the slides with all the pictures. Next week I am going to try to start working on the action script, but if i can get to that this week I will start on it. The actions seems to take longer then anything so far.
